Unseen Tours has welcomed a new competition from Transport for London (TfL), aimed at encouraging people to take photographs of their favourite city walks.

TfL is celebrating walking for leisure by encouraging people to share highlights from their favourite walk around the capital by taking a photo. Everyone can get involved – from the ardent photography enthusiast, to someone who simply likes to capture the occasional magical moment on their camera phone.

What they’re are looking for are images that encapsulate your favourite walk and a representation of what makes it special to you.

Dominic Stevenson, an Unseen Tours volunteer, said: “This is a magnificent time of year to get walking. London has so many special places and this is an opportunity to show off the locations that mean something to you – as well as potentially winning some amazing prizes. Why not even take a few shots on your next Unseen Tour?”

The picture judged to be the best photographic entry will win a Samsung NX300 Smart Camera and tripod, the runner up will scoop a Nikon Cool Pix 3600 compact camera and there are also a host of consolation prizes of cinema memberships and tickets at Picture House cinemas.
